A circuit breaker is an automatically operated switch designed to protect an electric circuit from harm caused by excess current, generally ensuing from an overload or short circuit. Its basic operate is to interrupt current flow when a fault is detected. in contrast to a fuse, that operates once so should get replaced, a circuit breaker may be reset to resume usual operation. Circuit breakers are created in different sizes, from small devices that protect low-current circuits or individual appliance, up to large switch gear designed to protect high voltage circuits feeding a complete town.
There are different types of Circuit Breaker. We describe one by one In the blew.
